Almost Summer: Seven Pics in Seven Days, Day 3

No need to guess _where_ this is; it's in my backyard. Just thought a shot of the last spring flowers was appropriate. This is a hosta bloom on a variegated plant.

  1. No need to guess? Why am I bothering to look then? hahahahaha. I hope you have some summer plants or full sun annuals. Ours have started coming in and do a lot in making these hot, sticky, days a little more enjoyable!

  2. Well, it was a little close up to guess _which_ hosta in Lamar County it might be!

    We have two beds lining the front walk that are also filled with these hostas but they get a lot of sun and dry out before June is over. They never get full and richly colored like the ones in shade in the back.

    I think I'll mow them and put in something that can take the heat. Any suggestions? I planted marigold seeds early between the hosta rows but they never sprouted.
