Happy Anniversary!

This week we are celebrating our first year as a blog! We hope you have enjoyed the pictures and feature stories about Life in Lamar County, Georgia.

A big thank you goes out to barnesville.com for carrying this site on their blog roll. Many of our visits come from that site.

For the geeks (or geek curious) among us here are some graphs and stats from the last year, humble as they are:

Total Visits:
We had a total of 3,612 unique visits and page views of 5,978.

Visits by month:
Visits by country:
We had visitors from many places, including Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Taiwan, Turkey, and Wales.
Visits by Distance from Lamar County, GA, USA:
The heart of Lamar County is about 50 miles south of Atlanta, GA, and most readers are local. However, we have many visitors from around the globe.

Nerd stats:
The following charts show the percentage of visitors by Operating System type and by Domain, respectively. What do they reveal? 45% of our visits come from XP users, while only 5% are Macs. ( I prefer to think that the 2% of "unknown" systems are Borg surfing from a distant galaxy.) At least 6% of readers are accessing from school campuses.
Home town stat:
By far the majority of readers are local or at least on the East Coast of the U.S. This makes sense considering the subject matter.
Thanks for making it a great first year! We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing more in the year to come.

Want free stat tracking for your site? I have used sitemeter for six years on various projects and am pleased at what I get for the price.
